I dream that someday birth will be back in the hands of midwives

I was a childbirth educator for 10 years. I became a nurse in order to become a midwife so that I could help women achieve their personal birthing goals. Eventually I left obstetrical nursing because I gave up. I felt that I was fighting a losing battle, especially here in Southern California. I eventually became a hospice nurse and a geriatric nurse practitioner. I still feel extremely passionate about these issues. I am THRILLED that this film has been made. It says everything I used to teach in my classes. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this film. I dream that someday birth in the US will be back in the hands of midwives.
