CNN Story: Stress and Pregnancy

Ricki and I found this CNN story about stress affecting pregnancy quite interesting. It seemed especially relevant that the highest risk group was women who are in their first trimester. This is usually when all the prenatal testing begins and many women have reported high stress levels due to false positives on their blood tests or “abnormalities” in their ultrasounds that lead to more testing.
We also found it upsetting that the experts suggest “talking to your doctor” if you are experiencing high levels of stress, all the while showing images of technicians doing ultrasounds! There was no mention of midwives, who actually have the time to counsel women on these types of issues. This
alarming study confirms the research that Dr. Michel Odent is doing concerning primal health.
