I went to a local viewing of BOBB in January of this year, when I was first pregnant with my daughter. It was so inspiring, especially as I knew I would be embarking upon a VBAC. My son’s birth in August 2006 ended in a c-section after the classic cascade of interventions. I decided this pregnancy, I would do everything in my power to have a good pregnancy and a VBAC. I utilized a CNM, ate well, got chiropractic care, listened to self hypnosis, hired a doula and declined all of the ultrasounds for “size” and most importantly had faith in myself and the birthing process. With that said, I had my successful unmedicated VBAC on 09/25/08. I cannot tell you healing it has been in many ways from the physical to emotional healing. I am not feeling depressed the way I did after my son’s birth. Watching BOBB at the beginning of this pregnancy was a great kick-off to a successful VBAC!
