Don’t bury your head in the sand towards the end of your pregnancy. Learn about how birth works. Take a class. Be an advocate for yourself so that when your OB asks you if you want to speed your labor along, or “jump start it” you have the confidence to say that you want to wait it out and let it happen how nature intends. Your body knows when it is ready. Birth takes all of your focus and energy. It is hard and amazingly rewarding. Mental preparation will help you through. You can do it all by yourself!!
